In the midst of several issues including a pandemic, a polluted planet and increasing diseases, the World Health Organization (WHO) is focusing global attention on urgent actions needed to keep humans and the planet healthy.
On World Health Day 2022 WHO hopes to foster a movement that will create societies focused on well-being. We hope to bring the same change in the healthcare sector more so in our field of importation, warehousing, marketing and distribution of pharmaceutical and surgical products.
WHO estimates that more than 13 million deaths around the world each year are due to avoidable environmental causes. This includes the climate crisis which is the single biggest health threat facing humanity. The climate crisis is also a health crisis.
7th of April is World Health Day. Unisel as a corporation agrees with WHO in this year’s mission of keeping both humans and the planet healthy because we only have one planet.
As a corporation in the field of importation, warehousing, marketing and distribution of pharmaceutical and surgical products we are ready to:
- Switch off lights after working hours and during breaks.
- Ensure safe water is accessible for our workers and guests, including drinking water.
- Support efforts to reduce health care waste.
- Purchase environmentally friendly products that are easily recyclable or reusable.
- Support teleworking when possible.
- Reduce the greenhouse gas emissions of our activities.
